Lovebirds by Gabriel Miller was painted for two of Gabriel's dearest friends following the adoption of their daughter. Puffins make their nests high upon the crags and cliffs of Alaska's shoreline, a hard place to raise their young fledglings. In a similar way, raising a child in this world can be full of trials and hardship. It is love that provides the way to do this well, a way to make barren rocks and cliffs into a home.
